Asda: Something Extra Special

Mmmm, mmmmm, Christmas dinner is going to be gooooood!

Its true.

Asda sent us an Extra Special delivery last week and papi cooked up a big "practice dinner" with all the yummy food.

Extra Special is the name of the food range at Asda and let me tell you, there couldn't be a better name for it!

Mami and papi started off with some duck rolls as an appetizer (I didn't get to have any) while papi prepared the turkey.

I couldn't wait to eat because it smelled so de-li-cious! We also had roast potatoes, mixed vegetables, and cranberry sauce.

I love having dinner with mami and papi! And even though mami had a special plate for me I wanted to serve myself just like they did.

Eventually I got my way and I chose the biggest piece of turkey, EVER!

I did end up having a little bit of everything - the roast potatoes were extra good (best I've had so far) and I even ate the mixed vegetables.

I could see mami smiling with delight at this. I hope she enjoyed it, because I won't be doing that again.

Mami said the dinner was "excellent" and she was impressed with the quality of the frozen food and of course at the prices. A good sized turkey only costs £10!

All that turkey made me very sleepy so I called it an early night. But mami and papi stayed up and had the Extra Special Luxury Christmas Pudding for dessert.

By the taste of it, I really think it is going to be an extra special Christmas.

I hear there are gifts too, can't wait for that!

Do you have your Christmas menu ready? What are you having?

¡Feliz Navidad!

Mr George (at Asda)

Life as a blogger. It has its perks. Most of the time mami gets to bask in the rewards while I stay at home with daddy. But not this time. Last week I was invited to my first ever press event for someone named George.

Can you find me?

Our friends at Asda were nice enough to invite both mami and I (my name was even on the invite!) to see the new clothes coming out for this Autumn and Winter.

This George person has some really nice clothes. I'm not too concerned about what I wear, but I noticed mami was especially impressed with the kids clothes. She said the "prices were amazing and it was good quality".

How about this one mami?

See, mami knew of George's clothing line from Walmart in the US, and lets just say she was less than impressed. So she wasn't sure what to expect from the clothing here in the UK.

But mami's eyes lit up when we arrived at The Hospital Club in London where the room was decorated with "some seriously stylin' pieces".

Snowflake sweater - to match the one daddy has

These were not the "frumpy frocks" she had in mind. These were stylish and affordable clothing for the entire family.

Like many other mamas, mami likes to dress nice but really can't spend too much on clothes. I think she use to shop a lot, but doesn't anymore. She says the clothing that Mr George has to offer is just what she has been looking for!

If you don't believe us, just look at this toggle coat mami can't wait to buy...

And now look at the price...

Amazing, right?

So what are you waiting for? The new line comes out in October and mami has already told daddy we are making a special trip to "check it out".

Hey, I'm talking to you!

Out of this world - CyberMummy 2010

The day finally arrived! This past Saturday, mami woke up extra early to meet all of MY blogging friends at CyberMummy at the Ibis Hotel in Earls Court!

I followed mami’s tweets throughout the day on daddy’s laptop and saw that minute after minute she was meeting more and more great mamas! I sure wish I could have been there, especially since I’m the blogger!
I was most excited about mami reading my blog post at the end of the day. The night before I heard her tell daddy “I’m really nervous”.

Daddy just told her to read slow and I shouted out “don’t forget to tell everyone hi on my behalf and thank them for reading!”

Before I knew it, the day flew by and mami was back at home with a HUGE black bag. Mami came in absolutely glowing and talking very very fast – her cheeks were red and she was smiling really big!

“You should have seen all the mamas there!" she shouted out. "It was amazing!"

She picked me up and said,

“Little M, everyone sends their love to you! The reading went very well and even though I was nervous I made sure to let everyone know you are the blogger!”

I wanted to know if she had been able to talk to everyone, she brushed my hair back and said,

“Sorry mi amor, there was so much to do and see that I wasn’t able to meet everyone”.

I think daddy was slowly losing interest in what she was saying and changing the subject asked,

“so what’s in the bag” and mami jumped up and said:

“Oh! You won’t believe this” and she unzipped the black bag.

Daddy and I just stood there watching as mami pulled out packet after packet of Asda wipes, nappy creams, some sort of cotton pads, Tommee Tippee bottles, Plum snacks, a frisbee, baby spoons (hey! I don’t need those!) more creams, and even pasta ! Daddy couldn’t believe it!

I couldn’t stop clapping with excitement and threw everything all over the living room!

I don't know what you mamas did to my mami, but she went to sleep before me!

I waved bye bye from daddy’s arms and we closed the door and let her rest. Ah bless her, it was hard work networking and having fun all day.

I want to say GRACIAS to Susanna, Sian and AlphaMummy herself Jennifer for a great event. Maybe next year I will be able to come too?

Thank you to everyone for meeting my mami and for following my blog. I hope to meet some of you some day! I started the blog for mami and I promise to keep writing about our busy lives.

Bye bye! Little M

Say hello to my sister, Little L!

It's been a very long time. My days as a blogger are over (at least I think they are?) — I'm now mami's sort of photographer (I...
