Shaking jelly!

Food isn't supposed to move is it?

Mami gave me something called jelly and when I went to get a spoonful it started shaking!

Now the only jelly I know is the "magic jelly" from Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom and when they make too much it becomes a jelly flood.

But this jelly looked very different and it was actually MOVING in my bowl. So I made papi try it first.

See? I told you it shaked.

But now I like it. In fact I wanted more and more!

Me, the fly hunter

Lately I've been helping papi with the chores of the house.

You know the fun stuff like helping take out the recylcing bins or pairing his socks.

But now that the windows are open all day I noticed we get a lot of insects likes flies, ladybugs and even bees coming in.

And that's where papi and I take over because as soon as they starting buzzing around papi likes to swing at them with a swater.

I don't know about you but I think it is fun to watch them zoom by, especially bees but mami gets nervous and makes papi hit them.

So, when papi isn't at home and I see a mosca or fly buzzing around, I quickly grab the swater from the kitchen and get to work.

There is a special technique to it all. You can't just go crazy and starting swinging. I've seen papi, and I think I know just how to get those moscas.

That's me trying to get a mosca that flew into the kitchen

First I stand very quietly in the middle of the room and follow the buzzing noise. Once I see where it has landed, I slowly walk over to it and very carefully but very swiftly swat the mosca.

Sometimes they are faster than me and they fly away, but when papi and I hold the swater together, we ALWAYS get it!

So much fun! I just wish this house had more flies, I would just chase them all day long!

I'm sure I will get one without papi's help and I won't stop until I do!

Piggyback ride!

I heard mami complaining that her arms hurt from carrying me around and that I "weigh too much".

Well, mami, what do you expect? With the way you feed me, of course I'm going to grow!

But I admit, recently I have wanted to be carried everywhere we go. I don't know what it is, I just want to be cuddled and held. Is that so wrong?

So last week mami found a new way to carry me. It's much more fun and I think her arms don't hurt as much.  She calls it a "piggyback ride".

Mi amiga, mi mami/ My friend, my mami

I just jump on her back, wrap my arms around her neck, hold on tight and off we go!

We ran around the park chasing squirrels and scaring away the birds. I felt safe with mami because those birds can get crazy sometimes. So if they did attack they would get to mami first and I could hide behind her back.

So very safe for me!

I think this way of being carried is working for both of us. I get to bounce up and down and we are not too far off the ground which scares me a little when I sit on papi's shoulders.

But I do have to be careful not to squeeze her neck too tight, otherwise she can't breathe. Uh oh.

Chill out and stretch!

Everyone's got their own way of chilling out.

Papi likes to lay on the sofa and put his feet up while watching TV. Typical.

Mami likes to sit and "do nothing". No surprise there.

And me? Well, I'm just an all around chilled out kind of kid.

However, I do enjoy a good old fashioned stretching session. Usually while watching Handy Manny or Peppa Pig.

I just prop my leg up on the table and........STRETCH.

Ahhhhhh!

Yep, totally chillaxed (that's a cross between chilling and relaxed).

You really should try it. It's a good way to start your day!

Check out how everyone else chills out over at The Gallery.

A tiny favour please...

I saw that Cosmopolitan, a magazine for mamas is launching the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards. Not my first reading choice, but I thought it could make mami very happy.

She was looking at the site last week, but she didn't say a word to me about it.

I later went on the computer and thought, "I should put my blog forward for the Lifestyle Category. After all, being a toddler is serious business!"

And because I can't really nominate myself in the fashion or gadget tech categories!

If you like what I write, or have laughed at any of my stories, could you nominate me please?

Just click the logo above, select Lifestyle and that's it! (well, you have a write a few things, but I hope that won't be too difficult)
My promises

I promise to be really really nice to mami. I promise to eat all my food and not throw it around the kitchen. I promise to let her kiss me. I promise to give her more kisses. I promise I won't poop as much (well, sort of)  I promise not to cry right in her ear. I promise to let her wipe my nose. I promise to not  pee pee on the floor. I promise I won't take her makeup brushes and put them in the toilet. I promise to take longer naps. I promise to use my own toothbrush instead of hers.

Phewwww, think that is enough!

Thank you very much lots of hugs and kisses

bye bye

I love you daddy!

Remember on Friday when I painted with mami?
We took my best artwork and made a sailboat for daddy!

I love daddy everyday, but mami said today was an "extra special day".

So this morning I mami and I sang "I love you, I love you, I youuuuuu!" to daddy at the foot of the bed. He woke up smiling and I jumped into his arms and gave him a big kiss.

Daddy holding me when I was only 1 month old!

Here are just a few reasons why I love my daddy every single day:

  • He takes me to the park on Saturday mornings and lets me pick up anything I want!
  • He makes me yummy dinners and remembers that I do not like pasta.
  • The view from his shoulders is much better than the view from mami's shoulders!
  • No need to sing or dance with daddy - he appreciates silence like I do.
  • When he works from home he picks me up a little bit earlier from nursery to spend more time with me.
  • Gives me cake and cookies even after mami has asked him not to.
  • He let me help him build the table with my tools.
  • Even though he is not the best at speaking Spanish, he still tries to teach me words!
  • He is the best at cuddling when I don't feel well
  • But most importantly he makes mami very happy - and he kisses her a lot too!

Best view of all!

I have many more reasons why I love daddy, but its bed time and mami is coming to pull me off the computer so I have to cut it short. I'll write more this week.

I hope all daddies out there had a wonderful day!

Say hello to my sister, Little L!

It's been a very long time. My days as a blogger are over (at least I think they are?) — I'm now mami's sort of photographer (I...
