Say hello to my sister, Little L!

It's been a very long time.

My days as a blogger are over (at least I think they are?) — I'm now mami's sort of photographer (I'm getting really good!) and I'm busy taking care of my new sister, Little L. She is so so cute and I can always make her laugh.

She came out of mami's tummy just after I became 4 years old in January, but she is already following in my footsteps and blogging with the Mouse. Yep! She went straight to the top and is blogging about her new life on Disney Baby. I'm so proud of her!

Make sure to follow her and mami there and if you really really miss me, check me out on mami's Instagram — I'm always photo bombing her pictures!

Taking a little break

I know, I know it's been a long time since I have blogged but that doesn't mean that mami and I have stopped.

I'm taking more of backseat on this blogging thing and she is now blogging on her own at Very Busy Mama {life, beauty & style}. So join her (and me!) over there!

This isn't the end of Mummy's Busy World, just a little break.

And did you know I'm going to be a big brother?

Si! Mami has a baby inside her tummy!

Best Apps for Toddlers: Travel Edition

I know it's been a good long time since we have blogged here. I've been more focused on Very Busy Mama but always with this site in mind and what direction to take it in. I want to keep it family friendly and focused on all things kids.

To be honest, we are going through such major changes in our life (yes, still!) that it's been a tough balancing act with the other site and my freelance work.

We are now in Chile visiting my family for six weeks and Little M has been a bit of a nightmare really. Poor guy is completely out of his element, he keeps asking when papi will come (he comes in a few weeks) and wants to know where OUR CASA is. Heartbreaking.

The trip here had me worried but just before traveling I managed to buy a "vintage" iPad. Well, its the original iPad, which I am not too concerned about and despite my husband giving me the "do we really need this look" it literally saved me sanity on the 9 hour flight to Santiago.

I downloaded a few apps and despite him never having used one before wasted no time in getting it. It's amazing just how quick they learn. I started with the free apps, but let's face it, they are limiting and don't let you get very far without a banner popping up asking you to upgrade or they simply don't have sound. What's the point of that?

Here are a few apps that I have found entertaining, educational and most certainly worth my money.

1. Elmo

2. Dora

3. Curious George

4. Penguin

I know there are thousands more, but these four have kept him entertained and he is always saying "C is for Cookie Mami!"

What are you favorite apps for toddlers? If you have any recommendations  let me know! I have a long flight back you know!

Fun Movie Alert! DisneyNature's CHIMPANZEE

I had seen movies on a big TV before, and I'd been to one in London, but not as big as the one we went to this week...it was ENORMOUS! Mami said it was called the "movie theater".

What ever it was, it was so cool!

We were invited by Disney to see the advanced screening of CHIMPANZEE at the Mazza Gallerie in Washington, DC. It was during my bedtime, but mami said it was a special occasion and so off we went.

That's Oscar!
Hey! I didn't care, I was happy to not have to go to bed. AND I begged mami to buy me popcorn. She didn't want to at first, but I just kept asking, and asking and asking until she finally said "Ok, but you have to be a good boy".

OF COURSE, I said yes, gave her my very best good boy look. I think she thought I was going to share, because she and Oma dug right in. I stuck both of my hands into the bucket and said "no mami, only for me".  She managed to get a few, but I ate ALL OF IT! YEP!

But then I really wanted water....oh well. I was soooooo yummy!

Anyway, the movie was great, and there was a little monkey, I mean chimpanzee named Oscar who was actually a lot like me. It is a true life adventure that follows Oscar and his chimpanzee family deep in the forests of Africa and it is told by Tim Allen.

I know Oscar is a chimp, but we had a lot in common! He went everywhere his mami went, she fed him, she kissed and hugged him, he rode on her back. At night time he jumped all over his bed of leaves and in the morning he would open his mami's eyes when she didn't get up. Those are all of the things I DO!

This is a DisneyNature movie, so it's not a cartoon and everything is real. Mami and Oma said it was fascinating to see the chimps family bond and how little Oscar learns how to survive and learn new skills after his mami gets hurt.

This movie is out today Friday April 20th across the US. Mami and I recommend it to everyone, big and small. All the adults loved it and the of course, so did the kids!

Have a great weekend everyone, I'll be wearing a tux for my uncle Jeff's wedding!

P.S. and if you go see CHIMPANZEE in the opening week, Disney will make a donation to the Jane Goodall Institute to protect wild chimpanzees

Mummy's Busy World is TWO!

Yes! Can you believe I started this blog two years ago?! Yep, me. Mami was "super busy" back then (not sure what is now??) and kept talking about blogging. So I just did it for her!

So much has changed and happened along the way for all of us. I don't wear nappies anymore. Mami understands me when I speak, she doesn't work at the office anymore, I can ride my scooter without falling and we live in another country!

There is lots more, but that would be way too long.

I'm sure you have guessed it's been quiet around here, but mami has new things going on, I'm busy hanging out with my friends, grandparents and my aunts and uncles and it's not just us three anymore with papi at his new job.

Everything has changed and I think this blog has too. But that's okay - change is good. At least so far it has been for us.

For now, I will keep popping in, but now that mami has time I let her be the blogger at her site.

So, we want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has joined us along the way, read our stories, entered our giveaways and really taken the time to know us. We have made some great friends and we are very grateful for that.

Mami and I send you a very big beso (that's kiss) and hug!

Easter Special: The Lion of Judah DVD & giveaway

This week mami and I decorated my Easter basket and I even did an egg hunt with some friends. Mami says Easter is next week and we have to be ready. After finding some eggs, we came home, had lunch and watched a new film that was sent to me.

It's called  The Lion of Judah and it's about a lamb named Judah who has the heart of a lion. Mami said that means he is very brave!

That's Judah! Mami says she loves his little face
It tells the story of Easter from the animals point of view, and I couldn't take my eyes off of it. When papi walked in front of the TV I shouted "Move papi!" because I didn't want to miss any of it!

There they go to save Judah!
See when all the barn animals (those are the stable mates) including the piggy and horse find out that their friend Judah the lamb has been captured by the townspeople and want to highlight him as part of an annual feast, the animals all leave their barn and take off on a super adventure to save their friend. And in the end they save him and they learn lots of new things about history along the way.

It is approved for the entire family (I watched it with my Oma and mami) so you can all gather around and watch it together during Easter week. Isn't everyone on Spring break now?

Here is a sneak peek at the film. But don't worry, it's not spoiling the surprise!

It is now out on Blu-Ray 3D, Blu-Ray and DVD right now, but we also have one copy to giveaway. We know you are doing to like it!

Giveaway

All you have to do is:

1. Leave a comment with your name and email
2. Tell us, what is your favourite Easter time tradition

That's it!
