Mami and papi in LA LA land

Okay, so mami and papi left a few days ago and have not come back. They have left before, but they are usually back within a few hours.

Don't get me wrong, I am having lots of fun hanging out with grandma and grandpa, but I didn't realise that going on vacation meant NOT COMING HOME FOR A FEW DAYS.

Mami and papi, just how far is LA? And when are you coming back?!

When they called yesterday I found out more details:

LA is short for Los Angeles which is in a place called California which is in the United States which is 11 and a half hours away from the UK and they had to take an airplane. There is lots of sun and lots of famous people live there too (mami must love that!)

Flexing her muscles

So far they have not seen anyone famous, but they almost got to be extras for a movie taking place on the Santa Monica Pier but they couldn't stay all day.

Papi sent me this picture - apparently Big Bird is so well known he has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. So cool!

Big Bird has a star!

So that's it for now. Sounds like they are having a good time, but I hope they take me next time, I want to go to the beach too!

But mami and papi, if you are reading this, I miss you!

P.S. And don't worry about grandma and grandpa, I am taking good care of them!

Grandpa's back!

Guess who's back? My GRANDPA!!! (and grandma too!)

I was just playing with my blocks this morning when suddenly they came strolling in. I remembered him from his last visit - I am soooooo happy!

See they live very far away, they have to come by airplane and they are here to visit me.

Mami and papi have been busy getting ready for a trip - they are off to a place called California.

I don't think I am going with them, but that's okay, grandpa is here to stay with me and he lets me do anything I want, hehehe!

A lot has been going on, as you can see I haven't blogged much.

Mami is working more now, she went from 3 days to 4 days and that means I go to nursery more too and the social demands are getting out of control.

Every weekend there is a birthday party, a lunch, a "quick coffee" or somewhere to be. We just can't keep up!

This week I will let you know how mami is getting on in LA. She has promised to call me every night and tell me how she and papi are doing.

I am going to miss them. I know sometimes I just want a break, but mami and papi are my best friends.

Mami and papi,

Los quiero mucho, mucho, mucho.

Please bring me back something nice.

My favourites are ice cream and Elmo.

I promise to be good to grandma and grandpa.

Oh and mami, don't forget to do your long run while you are there - it's your most important one!

Let me walk!

This is for all the kids out there tired of being strapped down in their buggies and who just want to walk!

I mean, seriously mami? I have been walking for over a year now. I hold your hand when you ask and I sit still when we are on the bus or the train.

So why must you take the buggy everywhere we go?!

I have been fighting this for a few months now. I kick and scream and cry extra loud when mami or papi are forcing me to sit.

Okay so I may get a little tired sometimes and want to be carried, but I'm not that heavy, am I?

Is 32 lbs a lot?

First Aid Beauty to mami's rescue!

Mami's eyes look more and more tired each day. I know she is all over the place, but slow down mami! Take things easy, like me.

You know how much she likes creams and stuff for her face. Recently FAB, that’s First Aid Beauty has come to her rescue and sent her their range to try out.

Having sensitive skin (like me!) She likes that theses creams do not have perfume and feel natural. They are not made with harsh chemicals and they have an antioxidant booster.

Apparently it is the latest ‘must have’ range in the in United States and it launched here in the UK this month at Boots stores – there is even a waiting list!

The packaging is really nice and has a star in the middle (I recently learned that word and every time I can I repeat it for mami).

Mami says they are top of the range products at affordable prices!

As always, we want others to get a chance to try it out too – so mami and I have 5 Ultra repair creams for you to win!

All you have to do is:

1. Like FAB on Facebook – They want more people to know about them in the UK
2. Leave us a comment saying, “I want to be FAB” and the best way to contact you
3. Follow our blog on Google Connect

For an extra entry you can tweet:

My grandma and grandpa are visiting from the US next week, so I may be tied up showing them the ropes.

Good luck to everyone!

Mami at Crufts!

I can't believe mami did not take me to Crufts, the biggest dog in the world! I mean, I LOVE DOGS!

But she did explain that it was for work and that we could go another time. Okay, mami, I won't forget that promise!

But I did get over it pretty quick when I realised it would just be me and papi all day long. I love spending time with him - he lets me do almost anything I want.

Mami doesn't know that, but it's true.

Anyway, mami was at the NEC Birmingham and she got to meet some great bloggers who had been invited for a fun day out - Roz from Kin Hodgkins, Fi from Childcare is Fun, Liz from Me and My Shadow and Louise from Rock and Roll Baby World.

Roz, Louise, Fi, Liz and mami

I was hoping she would come home with a doggy, but all she came home with was a pen and sore feet.

No fun!

HALF a marathon

Only 6 weeks until the London marathon! Mami is running with the Nestle Pure Life team and has been training to make sure she makes it all the way.

This past weekend she ran the Silverstone Half Marathon - not a full one, but 13 miles instead of 26.2.

Ready to go

Papi and I couldn't go with her but we followed her tweets and she even called us when she was halfway done!

Her day went a little something like this:

2 hour bus ride to Silverstone from London

1.5 hour wait before the race and FREEZING because it was very very cold

At the start line mami wondered "why am I doing this?"

Reached mile 5 in under one hour

At miles 6- 9 she felt good and in control and called us to let us know she was ok

She made it to 10 miles in under two hours

Ran by a very orange lady named Katie Price (mami says Katie may be skinny, but mami can run faster)

Says she "hit a wall "at 10 miles and said "her legs wouldn't move"

At mile 11 mami realised she had gone out too fast in the beginning

Tried running through miles 11, 12 and 13 but struggled to push through it

Ran the last half mile because "you must cross the finish line at full speed"

FINSHED!

She didn't say it was easy

A personal best for mami, she ran it in 2 hours and 36 minutes and didn't break or hurt anything.

But at home papi and I were sad for her when we realised she had left her most important piece of running gear behind- her swiggies! They were on the kitchen counter full of her orange sports drink.

She forgot these

Next time papi and I will help her lay out her running gear the night before and make sure she takes her swiggies.

She is still finding it hard to run during the week, but I am here to make sure that she does!

Make Mine Milk Challenge!

Ever since mami met the Make Mine Milk team a few months ago, she has been drinking more milk (remember our milk tashes?!)

It's true!

Especially now that she is training for the London marathon, she has been having milk after her long runs and realising that milk is also a good snack during the day.

And to prove she drinks the white stuff we have taken the Make Mine Milk challenge!

I spilled it on my favourite dinosaur t-shirt and it was too cold for mami's sensitive teeth.

She was trying to beat Justin Bieber's time, but that didn't happen!

Total time: 48 seconds

Are you going to take the challenge?!

Say hello to my sister, Little L!

It's been a very long time. My days as a blogger are over (at least I think they are?) — I'm now mami's sort of photographer (I&...
