Mami rocks out with Elmo at John Lewis!

Hey, why did mami get to meet Elmo and I didn't?! No fair!

I don't know if I can get over this, but at least she got a video for me to see.

She and Uju from Babes About Town were at the Christmas show for John Lewis. I remember this Mr Lewis from last year and he sure has a lot of toys.

Mr Lewis's store is a favourite of ours and this year the must haves for Christmas will be available from October.

We will tell you more nearer the time, but here is a sneak peak of mami and Uju with Let's Rock Elmo (£69.95).

He's in a band now. COOL!

Mami talks with Phil Vickery. Again!

There has been lots going on for us in the past month.

Mami has been juggling alot more than she usually does.

Not just working at the office, but going back to Bootcamp (about time) acting in her play (two more shows to go!) spending time with me and papi (thankfully she hasn't forgotten us) and now doing video interviews.

Last week, while I was hanging out with my friends and petting a REAL snake at nursery (so cool!) mami got to meet with one of papi's favourite chefs, Phil Vickery. Again!

They met last year at the Aldi Christmas Press Event and they got to catch up this time.

Check out mami's interview with Phil Vickery where they talk about Aldi, gluten free cooking and kids eating habits (not sure why??)

Break both legs mami!

"Break a leg!" said papi to mami on the phone tonight.

I thought, "What?! Why papi? Why would you say that to mami? That would hurt!"

But he said, don't worry, it's another way of saying "good luck". Funny way of saying it, but I guess if he said it, then it should be okay.

See, mami is at it again. She has been making funny faces and using a loud voice in front of the mirror for a few months now.

Papi said she "was acting". Ohhhhh, yes. I remember. She did this "acting" thing last year too.

This year she is in a play called Sisterly Feelings at The Questors Theatre in Ealing and yesterday was the opening night. I think it went well because she came home very happy. Sadly I didn't get to see her because it was past my bedtime, but papi is going on Saturday.

Don't worry, mami isn't really getting married. Only pretending!

She and the other actors from the Theatre West Four group have been working very hard to put on a good show.

Papi explained that it was mami, but it wasn't really her. She is "pretending" to be someone else. Like when I pretend I am a doggy and eat off the floor but I'm really not a dog. Ahhhhh, I get it.

Anyway, I hope I can see her play pretend sometime and if you can, please go and see her for me. The show is on until this Saturday the 23rd of July.

And because I love her so much, I hope she breaks both legs!

I'll have a babyccino please

"A skinny latte with an extra shot for me" says mami to coffee lady at Starbucks "and a babyccino for him please" pointing to me of course. Then we make our way to the end of the counter.

Yes, you read right. I get my very own Starbucks drink!

What's a babyccino you ask? It's frothy milk in an expresso sized cup for us kids and it's free*.

My babyccino!

And it's not just at Starbucks. You can ask for it at any sit down cafe or other coffee places like Costa or Nero.

While mami enjoys her coffee (which I'm not allowed to touch or taste because "it's very very hot") I enjoy the fluffy foam and warm milk and i add lots of chocolate powder to make it even yummier.

Getting every last drop

So next time you are out remember to order the kids a babyccino. We wouldn't haven't known about this if it wasn't for Nazima from Working London Mummy so tell everyone you know!

Enjoy!

Since writing this post we have moved to the US and so far no one seems to know what babyccino is! But once mami explains it, they are happy to make one for me. However, Starbucks will charge you $1 for it. Not so nice.

Help Dora Help: Mami talks to Helena of Wake up World

This week mami was at the Nick Jr offices talking with Helena.

You knoooooow,  Helena the host of Wake up World on Nick Jr (my favourite channel in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD!)

Remember I told you about the Help Dora Help campaign? Well, if you missed it, it is a campaign to help nurseries, pre-schools and playgroups around the UK apply for a chance to receive a grant up to 20K to improve facilities to make learning more fun for us kids.

Here's mami and Helena talking about Dora and the campaign:

The deadline is next Friday the 22nd of July, so there is still time to apply. My nursery has entered and we hope you tells yours about this too!

P.S. And I hear Dora and Helena will be visiting some nurseries soon. I really want to meet Dora, she is my amiga!

Shaking jelly!

Food isn't supposed to move is it?

Mami gave me something called jelly and when I went to get a spoonful it started shaking!

Now the only jelly I know is the "magic jelly" from Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom and when they make too much it becomes a jelly flood.

But this jelly looked very different and it was actually MOVING in my bowl. So I made papi try it first.

See? I told you it shaked.

But now I like it. In fact I wanted more and more!

Lazy day

Mami has found her anthem.

Lazy Song is a song by Bruno Mars. And if the title doesn't give it away, he sings about wanting to lay in bed all day, not get dressed and do NOTHING AT ALL!

She said to papi, "That's how I feel everyday!"

So I don't understand why mami gets upset when I don't want to get dressed and I just want to lay around chilling with my blankie on the the sofa watching Peppa Pig and having my toast.

Not happy about being made to get dressed

Really mami?

You always talk about taking it easy and relaxing, so why did you make me get dressed and wash my face and comb my hair when I didn't want to?! Huh?

Remember just because I'm little doesn't mean I don't want a break. Nursery is fun and all, but some times I need a lazy day too.

Papi and I let you have one sometimes, so now it's my turn!

So do you think we can have one this weekend?

Scuttlebug: My new ride

Check it out!

Yep, I'm talking about Scuttlebug my brand new ride. It's about time I had something to cruise around the flat in and when we go to the park.

Up until now it was either go in the buggy (I dont' like being tied down) or walk. I don't mind walking but I get tired you know. I have been hinting at a scooter but nothing seems to work. Mami, and even papi whom I can usually get to do anything for me, won't budge.

So when Mookie Toys, the makers of Scuttlebug offered me, Little M a set of wheels I said "Yes of course!"

I think I am pretty lucky, the design is like my favourite insect the ladybird AND I already know how to use one from my nursery.

I keep it close to me at all times. I even have it by my bed at night and when I wake up in the morning, instead of walking to mami and papi's room, I ride over. How cool is that?

Another night I couldn't sleep so I got up and rode it around my room in the dark. I really scared mami but she thought it was funny.

And if I don't want to ride it anymore, I just throw it over my shoulder and carry it. So simple!

The good thing about the Scuttlebug is that you can fold it and put it away under the buggy. Mami likes that she doesn't have carry it everywhere after I am done with it.

They are perfect for us kids from 1 - 3 yrs and come in different colours and varieties, like a bee, dragonfly, or a flowerbug.

You can buy them from Amazon for £29.99 but last time we checked they were on sale! Definitely worth having one. It's a safe ride and and easy to steer.

Take it from me, I'm zooming all over the place!

Savoury and sweet

Weekends are always the best.

Mami, papi and I go out to the park and usually they let me have a special treat like cake or a brownie. Mmmm...so good!

Today's treat was an icecream. Mami got me one and she and papi shared a bag of chips (or crisps).
But I wanted some too!

I begged mami for a chip and after saying "No, Little M, have your icecream" she gave in like I knew she would.

So naturally having the icecream in one hand and the chip in the other, I mixed the two together and boy was it yummy!

The sweetness of the icecream pop and savory cheese and onion taste from the chip was just the right combination. I think I'm on to something here!

Mami and papi looked at each other and I just stared back thinking, "What now?"

Realising they were not going to stop me, they just let me be.

What's wrong with mixing flavours? After all, it all goes to the same place. My tummy!

How mami DIDN'T meet the cast of Glee

Papi and I have no words for what mami did today.

I really wouldn't know where to begin. It's like she was another mami, not my mami.

But don't take my word for it, watch the video and see for yourself.

Say hello to my sister, Little L!

It's been a very long time. My days as a blogger are over (at least I think they are?) — I'm now mami's sort of photographer (I&...
