Fun Movie Alert! DisneyNature's CHIMPANZEE

I had seen movies on a big TV before, and I'd been to one in London, but not as big as the one we went to this week...it was ENORMOUS! Mami said it was called the "movie theater".

What ever it was, it was so cool!

We were invited by Disney to see the advanced screening of CHIMPANZEE at the Mazza Gallerie in Washington, DC. It was during my bedtime, but mami said it was a special occasion and so off we went.

That's Oscar!
Hey! I didn't care, I was happy to not have to go to bed. AND I begged mami to buy me popcorn. She didn't want to at first, but I just kept asking, and asking and asking until she finally said "Ok, but you have to be a good boy".

OF COURSE, I said yes, gave her my very best good boy look. I think she thought I was going to share, because she and Oma dug right in. I stuck both of my hands into the bucket and said "no mami, only for me".  She managed to get a few, but I ate ALL OF IT! YEP!

But then I really wanted water....oh well. I was soooooo yummy!

Anyway, the movie was great, and there was a little monkey, I mean chimpanzee named Oscar who was actually a lot like me. It is a true life adventure that follows Oscar and his chimpanzee family deep in the forests of Africa and it is told by Tim Allen.

I know Oscar is a chimp, but we had a lot in common! He went everywhere his mami went, she fed him, she kissed and hugged him, he rode on her back. At night time he jumped all over his bed of leaves and in the morning he would open his mami's eyes when she didn't get up. Those are all of the things I DO!

This is a DisneyNature movie, so it's not a cartoon and everything is real. Mami and Oma said it was fascinating to see the chimps family bond and how little Oscar learns how to survive and learn new skills after his mami gets hurt.

This movie is out today Friday April 20th across the US. Mami and I recommend it to everyone, big and small. All the adults loved it and the of course, so did the kids!

Have a great weekend everyone, I'll be wearing a tux for my uncle Jeff's wedding!

P.S. and if you go see CHIMPANZEE in the opening week, Disney will make a donation to the Jane Goodall Institute to protect wild chimpanzees

Easter Special: The Lion of Judah DVD & giveaway

This week mami and I decorated my Easter basket and I even did an egg hunt with some friends. Mami says Easter is next week and we have to be ready. After finding some eggs, we came home, had lunch and watched a new film that was sent to me.

It's called  The Lion of Judah and it's about a lamb named Judah who has the heart of a lion. Mami said that means he is very brave!

That's Judah! Mami says she loves his little face
It tells the story of Easter from the animals point of view, and I couldn't take my eyes off of it. When papi walked in front of the TV I shouted "Move papi!" because I didn't want to miss any of it!

There they go to save Judah!
See when all the barn animals (those are the stable mates) including the piggy and horse find out that their friend Judah the lamb has been captured by the townspeople and want to highlight him as part of an annual feast, the animals all leave their barn and take off on a super adventure to save their friend. And in the end they save him and they learn lots of new things about history along the way.

It is approved for the entire family (I watched it with my Oma and mami) so you can all gather around and watch it together during Easter week. Isn't everyone on Spring break now?

Here is a sneak peek at the film. But don't worry, it's not spoiling the surprise!

It is now out on Blu-Ray 3D, Blu-Ray and DVD right now, but we also have one copy to giveaway. We know you are doing to like it!

Need a little bling this Spring?

*We were sent this film to preview. This is a faith oriented film and is rated PG*

Review and giveaway mashup!

On mami's favourite show Glee they mashup songs. So I thought I would mashup our reviews and giveaways so here it goes!

ZingZillas: The Album

Mami and I were sent a copy and even though we had never seen ZingZillas, we love the music and more importantly it doesn't "drive mami crazy" and it sounds like "real music" she says.

Fun, upbeat and songs I can definitely shake my booty to! Now that it is darker outside and we spend more time inside, mami puts on the music and we play and colour while bopping to the music. I'm a danger on the dance floor you know.

We recommend it!

Favourite songs: Bahngra Beat, The Great ZingZilla Band, Boogie Woogie Bubbly Time

Stacey Jackson

Mami was sent another CD by a singer named Stacey Jackson. She is a Canadian mum of 4 kids who lives in West London who followed her dream to become a singer. Cool huh?

We know not everyone has the means to go out and be a rock star or actress (mami wishes she could have been an actress) it doesn't mean her songs are any less great. She is very rock mama and edgy, and mami was really surprised at how good the songs are and likes her takes on the old Motown hits.

Her songs are out now and all proceeds from her single Upside Down go to the Music for Youth charity.

She hopes Stacey will invite her to a concert! (hint, hint)

Favourite songs: If You Could Read My Mind, If I Can't Have You, Band Of Gold (dance remix!)

Benjoy

Now these are cool!

Mami gave me some new snacks this week, but I couldn't see what I was eating. There was an opening in the container, and once I reached in I got something, they were dried crunchy strawberry slices! See Benjoy is a brand new range of "messy free" or anti-spill munchcups and they have an whole range of healthy snacks.

I have to admit, I'm pretty messy when I eat and my buggy is full of crumbs! I tried to dump the snacks out but it didn't work! Papi thinks its a very clever idea and now mami doesn't have to vacuum after me as often.

Try them! You can get some from Ocado and Morrisons.

Favourite snacks: Crunchy strawberry slices, crunchy grapes

See? The cover stops me from making a mess!

Penny and the Pirates

I love books, and I mean that literally. I love the taste of cardboard or paper. I have personally tasted each and every one of my books. Mami has had to put them away on a high shelf, but every once in a while I manage to get one. Now don't get me wrong, I like the stories too!

We were sent The Adventures of Penny the Postie: Penny and the Pirates to read and I am sorry to say I have not had a chance to taste it. The story however, is fun and exciting. It is about a girl named Penny who delivers letters and goes through all sorts of adventures after she finds a postbox. She almost got eaten by a crocodile!

We never make it through the whole book, but daddy reads it to me in parts. It is for older kids, but I'm a big boy too!

I have 3 to giveaway, so if you would like to follow Penny's adventures just leave me a comment telling us you want to win, your twitter name or email us with your contact details. You must follow blog via Google Connect or RSS.

Closes next Saturday 13th of November

Favourite part: Crossing the crocodile swamp

Sadly, I haven't had a chance to taste this book

Montagne Jeunesse Tottles

Remember mami and abuelita and their face masques? Well its back!

Montagne Jeunesse sent mami some Tottles. I know, strange name but cool concept. It is a mix between a tube and a bottle and they are a new range of luxurious spa facials.

Mami really likes these because they are less messy and you can get up to 10 masques out of them! I think she looks scary, but apparently it makes her face smoother. Hey, if she says it then I have to believe her.

There are four new "tastes": Damask Rose and Marula Oil, Dark Chocolate and Orange, Sensuous Spice Cinnamon and Ginger and Tropical Peel Off Masque with Red Grape and Mango

Even though they sound really yummy, mami says I can't eat them. Darn.

Mami has a set of 4 to giveaway to one lucky winner! Just leave a comment below saying you want to win, your twitter name or email us your contacts. You must follow this blog on Google Connect or RSS.

Closes next Saturday 13th of November

Mami's favourite tottle: Damask Rose

Its a shame I can't eat them, they smell sooo good!

That's it for the review and giveaway mashup! Hope you enjoyed it and maybe discovered something new. Let us know what you think of these.

Don't forget to enter to win!

The competition is now closed. Thank you to everyone for entering.

Mami tried it! UNE and Lubatti

HOLA! Mami has some "girl stuff" for me to write about and even though I love her very much, I really don't like writing about those things.

But since we do share this blog, I had to let her get her review in. Besides, you mamas like to know about that stuff. So, for the very first time ever, I have invited mami to guest blog!

Soooo here's mami with her review on UNE Cosmetics by Bourjois and Lubatti face cream  (be nice to her, she's new at this)

Very Busy Mama
Testing 1,2, 3. Testing, 1,2, uh? Is this thing on? Oh! Hello. Sorry. Not really in the habit of blogging. I tend to tweet and just brief my little guy on what's going on. A bit weird this blogging business.

Anyway, I hope you don't miss Little M too much, and don't mind me jumping in this week. Poor guy is tired of reporting on makeup and face creams.

I don't have a lot of time, and I know that neither do most of you. However, I believe a little makeup goes a long way.  Ever since I had Little M, my good friends Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier have had to be dropped like a bad habit.

Now I scan the ailes at Boots looking for the best deal and hoping and praying the cover up will do just that, cover up. The blusher will last more than a tube ride, and that the mascara won't cause an allergic reaction.

So you can understand my excitement when I was sent a little gift set of UNE Cosmetics, a natual makeup range by Bourjois to try out and Lubatti face cream. I had never heard of UNE before, but I had been fortunate to review Lubatti night cream and eye gel previoulsy.

UNE Cosmetics
I was given Soft Minerals Powder Foundation, Glimmer Eyes Shadow, Breezy Cheeks Blush, and Sfumato Eyes Pencil. All UNE products are made with 98%-100% natural formulas and use organic ingredients. Very impressed at their efforts to be more environmentally friendly, they also do not use synthetic dyes or fragrances.

Better yet was the feel and actual application of the makeup. Other powders and blushers tend to cake on or disappear before even leaving your house.

The pressed powder is smooth and creamy. It goes on light and stays on.

The blush is a perfect compliment, also light and creamy, it goes on and blends in to your natural colours without looking too made up.

Best of all was the eye shadow which almost looks invisible. You think you may not have anything on, then it catches in the light and your eyes stand out in a subtle manner.

It is ideal for those who want quality make up without breaking the bank and busy mums on the go. Quick to apply, light and fresh and gives you glowing look through out the day!

Lubatti Gorgeous Day Moisturiser
Okay, yes, I love Lubatti! It is a luxury range by Tracey Malone, Jo Malone's sister, and treat it like liquid gold.

But before you jump all over me for proclaiming the gospel of cheap finds, I repeat, Lubatti is a luxury range. And I do believe every woman needs a little luxury in her life.

Lubatti is the kind of product you want to make last forever. I have been using the Gorgeous Day Moisturiser made with Orange and Jojoba and it is just that, gorgeous. Smells terrific and when putting it on I do so carefully and with care making sure every last inch of my face has been lathered.

Lubatti wakes up my face each morning (which is hard to do by the way) and gives it a nice tight feel and perfect before applying your makeup.

If you are like me, a slave to face creams, you will want to add this one to your list of indulgences. Don't forget, only 93 days until Christmas.

We tried it! Weekly Roundup

It's a long weekend, and that means I get to spend extra time with daddy. I really don't want to be blogging too much, so I am going to give you a brief update on some of the great things mami and I have been trying and a special giveaway to 5 lucky winners around the world!

Munchkin: Bath toys and shampoo rinser
As you know, I am now much happier now with my new FlexiBath because I can actually fit in it. But there is still a little problem. See, bath time is ruined when mami throws a bucket of water on my head. She tries to lean me back but I don't like that feeling at all!

So when Munchkin sent us a some cool new toys, including a star fountain (its spins and shoots up water) and a special shampoo rinser that allows the water to go over my head but not in my eyes, I was the happiest of all. Now we can get along and I don't have to resort to splashing her to get away.

Munchkin is a US company - I know it well because mami got a lot gifts for her baby shower. The shampoo rinser has a good grip and a plastic band that goes on my forehead and stops the water from going in my eyes.

Two hands up for Munchkin, their toys and the special rinser!

Kaloo Blue: Baby Cologne (Mami LOVES this)
Remember, I'm half Chilean. I say this so you won't gasp when I tell you that I wear cologne and I am not ashamed. Yes, you read right, COLOGNE. But don't worry, it's baby cologne, not the kind mami or daddy use. I do smell really good the girls at nursery seem to like it too!

See in Chile baby cologne, which is alcohol-free and a light "spray" is as common as buying baby lotion (which smells too) soap, oils and baby cream .Mami just sprays a little on her hand then dabs my shirt or runs it through my curls.

She had no idea that you could get some here (when we go to Chile she stocks up!) so when Kaloo Parfums sent us theirs, she was very excited. Kaloo Blue is a refreshing scent for boys. I tell you, give it a chance, its not like I'm drenched in it, it just gives me that fresh, baby smell. They have scents for boys and girls, and I've seen mami use it too! And it may say its just for babies, but I know for a fact I will be using colognes for a long time.

I give this two hands up, two more from mami, and two hands up from daddy (he "gets" it now).

TommeeTippee: explora Active Sporty Cup
I have gone through several cups. Some with straws, others that are non-spill (mami's favourite) and some like my green one that I know will always have orange juice. But then we got a new one. This one was so cool!
Mami has been trying to get me "off the bottle" (of milk) for some time. I really enjoy my bedtime bottle, but mami wants me to drink milk from a cup. I don't know about you, but it's just not the same. I usually make her pour it out of the cup and into my bottle and then I will drink it.

drinking my milk and checking out the squirrels

When Tommee Tippee, who were at CyberMummy sent me one of their cool explora Active Sporty Cup, I  thought I would give it a try (that, and mami didn't back down when I started crying so I had no choice!) It was about time I moved on to a big boy cup.

Still non-spill and perfect for when we go out. I will drink to that!

Beautiful Creatures: Children's Music
A few months ago, mami and me received a very special, very funny and different music CD called Beautiful Creatures. They are from a place called South Africa where there are lots of animals and fun things to do. You may remember I told you about dancing to “Mafutha the Elephant” with mami. It was a very fun day!

Mami and daddy also liked very much that it was from South Africa. See, they spent lots of time in South Africa and they have very special memories of their time. They said they would like to take me one day so that I can see real live lions, hippos and giraffes like they did on their safari! Mami said she was very scared when they encountered a hippo. They are dangerous you know! So this music is a little piece of South Africa they can share with me.

Even daddy got into it and said it was “different” and “I can listen to this”. Good, because I love it! When I listen to it, I start to wiggle a little, then I really put my booty into it and shake, shake shake!

The CD has 10 songs, and all of them tell a unique story about an animal. Mami was even singing “can you roar like Lucas the lazy lion....roarrrrr”.

Beautiful Creatures also have unique South African books and educational toys for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. Their website is really nice too – so go and check it out!

Best part of all is that we love this so much we want you to have one too. I have 5 downloadable CDs to giveaway to you. This is open to anyone worldwide, so why not enter?
  • Just leave a comment saying "I want to win Beautiful Creatures"
  • Leave your name or twitter name so mami can contact you
  • Become a follower on Google Connect
**Thanks for entering. This competition is now closed **

Okay, off to enjoy the rest of the weekend!
Chao!

Say hello to my sister, Little L!

It's been a very long time. My days as a blogger are over (at least I think they are?) — I'm now mami's sort of photographer (I...
