Peppa Pig Party!!

Guess where I went today? To a party with Peppa Pig!!

Everyone was there, Peppa, Daddy Pig, Mummy Pig, George and all their friends! It was Peppa's birthday so they made a cake, danced and even went on a nature walk!

I can't believe I got to see her in real life...she looks much bigger in person.

Mami won the tickets in September and the big day finally arrived (with a little bit of snow too!)

And its not just for kids. Oh no! All of the mummies and daddies were up and dancing, even my papi!

And don't worry, there is plenty of time to party with Peppa. She will be having a party in London until the 2nd of January at the Criterion Theatre in Piccadilly Circus.

What are you waiting for? Go go go! Trust me, its goooood!

Our first Christmas card!

Mami and I received our first Christmas card. But not just any card, it was an E-Card from Ferrero the chocolate people! Mmmmm!

We liked it so much we wanted to show you too. And it was made especially for us, just look at the pictures on the card...that's me!

You can send someone a Ferrero E-Card too and when you do you are in the running to win a box of chocolates. Mami says you can't send everyone a real card, and sometimes this is just as nice.

In the meantime, we have a 2 boxes of the Ferrero collection to giveaway! This includes the traditional Ferrero Rocher Gold, Ferrero Rondnoir (dark chocolate) and Ferrero Garden.

GLEE mama!

Nothing makes mami happier than GLEE! (Actually I can't blame her, the songs are pretty good)

I'm a Glee Mama!

She has been anxiously waiting the return of the show to the UK, and this past weekend she went to a Glee party hosted by Pringles for the launch of the Glee DVD.

Mami got to dress up as a geek, sing songs and then perform a dance number for Eliza Doolittle! Not sure how impressed she was, but mami had fun.

Daddy and I were at home playing when mami called. I thought something was wrong because all I could hear was shrieking through the phone "I won, I won, I won!" She kept yelling. Daddy asked, "Won what? Tell me!"

"I won 2 tickets to Los Angeles to meet the cast of Glee! Yeahhhhhhh!"

Our friend Rebecca over at twobecomefour made this lovely badge for us. Mami wants to let everyone know how much she loves GLEE. And if you love it just as much, go ahead and take our badge!

Clothing at Tesco: Stylish and Warm this Christmas

Everyone likes to look nice, right? Right
And keep warm. Of course!
But keeping a family stylish and warm isn't always easy. Just ask mami.
But when the girls at Clothing at Tesco asked us to find some "stylish and warm" clothing for £50 or less for Christmas, mami made it her mission to find the best.
Here's what she got us:

I really don't like wearing too much stuff, but the F&F 3 Piece Reindeer Fair Isle Set (hat, scarf and gloves) she got me isn't too itchy and I actually keep it on my head. The set has a fleece lining that makes it soft and warm. Only £10!

Papi chose the F&F Cable Knit Casual Blue Sweater with buttons at the top. Its a wool and cotton mix which helps keep him extra warm.

He likes to wear his "snow sweater" as he calls it, at home when he is reading his books or playing with me.

Mami says he looks very "smart" in it and I agree! The stylish sweater cost £20, a bargain!

And lastly, I really don't know what mami was thinking, but she chose a furry jacket/vest! Can you believe it?! Just like the doggies at the park!

But mami says the F&F Faux Fur Gilet keeps her toasty and it looks good with her black jeans and boots.

Well, okay then. But it is still funny to me. Oh, and it was only £20.

So there you have it, we are all ready for the Christmas season with our stylish sweaters and hats!
Now, you tell us, what items from Clothing at Tesco would you buy for the family to keep stylish and warm this Christmas for £50?
One winner will receive a £50 Clothing at Tesco voucher to get ready for Christmas.
Rules:

Mami's turkey trot!

Not much to say about Thanksgiving. I've personally never experienced it, but I have heard mami and papi talk about it.

It involves eating lots of food including a turkey, some mashed potatoes, different types of pies, cranberries and the list goes on and on.
Come to think of it, those are some pretty interesting combinations of food! (we really should have Thanksgiving, I will have a word with papi to see if he can make something this weekend).

But the real reason I'm here is because, today, on turkey day, mami went for a run!

I called it "mami's turkey trot" in honour of the Thanksgiving 5K runs she use to do when she still lived in the US.

In fact, today is mami's 7 year running anniversary! On this very day for Thanksgiving 2003 mami did a 5K run for the first time ever. She says she "nearly fainted" but she did it!
So you can see why today was the perfect day to get back to it.

It may be cold outside, but she says it is "perfect running weather."

Hidden reminders of Chile in London

Back when it was still hot outside and the sun was out all day long, mami was invited to be a guest blogger on the Visit London Blog.

Why? Well because in the lead up to the 2012 Olympics the team at Visit London are running series of blog posts called "The World in London" and mami wrote about Chile!

There are 205 countries taking place in the Olympics and Visit London are blogging about 2 a week until the games begin.

Mami wrote a really nice post about finding little reminders of Chile throughout London. Why not read it and let her know what you think.

Enjoy! Hidden Reminders of Chile in London

Bye bye crib, hello bed!

Guess who got a new bed? ME!!! Yah!!

Mami and papi FINALLY got a clue and bought me a big boy bed. I'm no longer caged in and having to wait for them to hear me to get me out.

Good to know that our afternoon at John Lewis payed off because I was so bored! They have their own range of furniture and this bed is just the perfect fit.

My first night felt a little strange. I couldn't believe I could just sit up and get out of bed. I ran into the living room a few times, but after a while I got the hint.

I  had to go to bed, and stay there.

The next morning, I forgot where I was. I looked around to make sure I wasn't dreaming. I got out of my bed all by myself and ran into mami and papi's room.

And guess what? They were sleeping!

I jumped on papi's chest and woke him up. They didn't look too happy, but I thought it was a great way to start my day.

I'm really liking this get-out-of-bed-whenever-I-want business. I just wonder what took them so long?

*This is not a sponsored post. Mami and papi are very happy with the John Lewis range and their affordable prices. Best of all customer service was superb*

Staycation needed!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, mami and I are tired!

It's been almost a year since mami went back to work and I started going to nursery. This year we didn't take a vacation or have time off to relax. So you can image that we are down right worn out!

Early mornings and late nights for mami have really taken its toll on us.

Can you tell we are tired?

Mami and daddy have decided to take a "staycation" during the month of December and try and get a break before starting all over again next year.

Mami says she just want to "sleep for days."  Daddy said he would let her rest and spend a day (or two) with me...yippeeee!

I'm not going to lie, I like my friends at nursery, but I am looking forward to lazing around at home!

How about you, did you get a break this year?

Homesick

Mami has something called homesick.

Symptoms
  • Sad eyes
  • Sudden outbursts of crying
  • Staring off into a distance
  • Long telephone conversations with abuelita
  • Repetitive speech " I want to go home" "I wish we could go home" "Can't we go home?"
(Between you and me, I don't get that last one, isn't her home here with papi and me?)

I've heard this illness is very common and everyone has it at least once. I must have been vaccinated against it, because so far, I haven't had this homesickness mami talks about.

Why doesn't she just go to the GP like when I'm sick? Silly mami, I think she want to ride it out.

From what I can see, there are more serious cases and sometimes you just get a small virus. She says "this time of year is the worst for homesickness".

And I hope it's not contagious because I don't want to catch homesick too. Come to think of it, papi doesn't seem to have caught it, so I should be safe. Phewwwww!

Here's what I recommend
  • Take Calpol before bed and take every 4 hours as needed. Always works for me!
  • Lots of kisses and hugs from papi and I
  • A long nap. I always feel a little better after a good sleep
  • Have a bottle of warm milk or coffee, I know how much you like drinking that
  • Keep the special picture I made for you with glitter close by. I know how much you like sparkly stuff!

My sparkly picture for you!

Okay mami, I hope you take my advice. If you do, you will definitely feel better soon!

Te quiero

Me at Discover Dogs!

Mami never told me she worked with dogs!! (Well, sort of)

Through her work she got tickets for us to go see the Discover Dogs show at Earls Court.

Discover Dogs is organised by the Kennel Club who also present Crufts!

Wow!!

He looks innocent, but he wouldn't stay still

There were dogs everywhere! I went right up and pet some, but other doggies scared me a little.

I even saw one poop, hahaha! It smelled yucky!

After this he tried to lick my face!

They had over 200 different types of dogs, big and small, furry and bald, fat and skinny.

There were special competitions like Waggiest Tail, that means the doggy with the wiggliest, waggiest tail wins!

His tail kept hitting my legs!

It sort of reminded me of The Baby Show only for dogs.

There were rows and rows of displays with special foods and snacks, clothes (saw a pair of wellies for doggies) lots of toys, beds, and even buggies!

Seems I have lots in common with them. Hmm?

Wait a minute....those aren't for me! They are sweaters for dogs!

I really wanted to bring one home, but mami didn't really let me do that.

There were a lot of other kids and it looked like families were having a good time. All I know is, I had a GREAT day!

Oh, and if you love dogs as much as I do, follow @KCLovesDogs on twitter updates on all things dogs!

Big mouth!

Check out mami's big lips. But don't worry, they are not real!!

Mami won this Lulu Guinness clutch when she went attended the launch of Vaseline's new Lip Therapy stick range (instead of the tins)

The new stick range just came out this week, and her favourite is the rosy one (which smells very good by the way!)

And actually when she wasn't paying attention I ate some of daddy's chapstick.  Shhh, don't say anything to her, but they are approved by me.

Personally tasted by me, Vaseline Original Lip Therapy

The other "tastes" they have are:

Rosy
Cocoa
Aloe
Orignal (I tried it!)

A touch of colour

The Gallery theme this week is "Seasons"

I've noticed that the days have changed. I'm back to wearing a coat and boots. No more running around barefoot and wearing short sleeved shirts.

Mami and I don't go out to the park like we use to and it gets dark even before my bedtime.

At nursery we don't go for walks as much and sometimes we stay inside because it is raining.

The leaves on the trees are yellow and the park is full of piles of leaves that have fallen to the ground. I know, because I love to jump in them!

 Really pretty flower

Mami and daddy say they love this time of year because of the smells, the colours and the abundance. Papi always says it is harvest season or autumn.

Even with the leaves falling and the days getting darker and colder, we had a touch of colour in our front garden. A very red flower called a rose popped up.

I pulled off some petals too!

Isn't it beautiful?

What is your favourite season?

Wowza! Win £40K with PayPal!

Mami always says, “money doesn’t buy you happiness, but it sure does help!”

I don’t know much about money, but I do know that mami’s eyes lit up when she saw the latest campaign by Paypal to win £40,000!  That’s because when she does buy things online she often uses PayPal to pay for it.

And that's a lot of zeros!

What would you do with £40K?

I'll tell you what mami and daddy would do – it’s not the most exciting, but it would make things much, much easier for all of us!

First mami would buy us three tickets to visit her family in Chile. It has been over a year since we have been and she misses her grandparents, cousins and aunts and uncles.

After that mami would buy herself (and me!) a brand new laptop so that we can blog and not have to share papi’s computer! Then mami and daddy would go shopping for some new clothes because they both need to “update” their wardrobe.

And lastly, mami and papi would pay off a big part of their student loans from their postgraduate studies. Making them very very happy!

Best thing of all is that anyone can be in the running to win £40K by buying anything using PayPal.

There is a weekly draw, so the more you buy with PayPal, the more chances you have to win. And it doesn’t have to be anything that costs too much! Enter now for your chance to win

With Christmas coming up, mami and I put together 5 items you can buy for yourself or someone else using PayPal:

A shiny new bike from Halfords – Can’t wait to ride one!

A GIANT Peppa Pig Talking soft toy from Toys R US – I really want this!

A pair of proper running trainers from Nike – papi needs a new pair

A new Vostro laptop from Dell – Need I say more?

Street Dance 3D DVD from Woolworths.co.uk – mami likes all those dance movies

So what are you waiting for? Find out more and start shopping to win!

Mami made muffins!

Mami made muffins!

So what? you say. Well believe me, this is major! Mami does not cook and much less bake. Don't get me wrong, she can do it, but doesn't like it and papi is in charge of the cooking in our house.

So when mami woke up after her nap (papi and I gave her the afternoon off) she said "I'm going to try making some muffins"

"What?" said papi surprised. "You don't have to, I can make them for you"

"No, no. I'll try it. I can bake you know"

And she did!

Not bad, not bad at all!

She choose to make Carrot Cake Muffins from the Weight Watchers Hearty Home cook book that she received when she attended the launch of the new Weight Watchers ProPoints system a few weeks ago.

Carrot Cake Muffin recipe

Mami doesn't really like to cook or bake because she says she "will eat it all".

Papi kept trying to tell her what to do from the living room, but she would just say "I know what I'm doing. I don't tell you how to cook".

And we had no choice but to let her be.

Mmmmm!

Papi and I coloured and listened to music. Pretty soon it started to smell really really yummy!

We went out for a quick walk and when we got back, the muffins where out of the oven, mami was smiling and they were ready for us to eat!

Papi and I gave her an A+ for her baking. And they tasted goooooood!

Muffins approved!

She said she was going to try her Oma's German Christmas cookies next week and I get to share the recipe with you, so stay tuned!

Have a good week everyone, feels like winter is really here!

Review and giveaway mashup!

On mami's favourite show Glee they mashup songs. So I thought I would mashup our reviews and giveaways so here it goes!

ZingZillas: The Album

Mami and I were sent a copy and even though we had never seen ZingZillas, we love the music and more importantly it doesn't "drive mami crazy" and it sounds like "real music" she says.

Fun, upbeat and songs I can definitely shake my booty to! Now that it is darker outside and we spend more time inside, mami puts on the music and we play and colour while bopping to the music. I'm a danger on the dance floor you know.

We recommend it!

Favourite songs: Bahngra Beat, The Great ZingZilla Band, Boogie Woogie Bubbly Time

Stacey Jackson

Mami was sent another CD by a singer named Stacey Jackson. She is a Canadian mum of 4 kids who lives in West London who followed her dream to become a singer. Cool huh?

We know not everyone has the means to go out and be a rock star or actress (mami wishes she could have been an actress) it doesn't mean her songs are any less great. She is very rock mama and edgy, and mami was really surprised at how good the songs are and likes her takes on the old Motown hits.

Her songs are out now and all proceeds from her single Upside Down go to the Music for Youth charity.

She hopes Stacey will invite her to a concert! (hint, hint)

Favourite songs: If You Could Read My Mind, If I Can't Have You, Band Of Gold (dance remix!)

Benjoy

Now these are cool!

Mami gave me some new snacks this week, but I couldn't see what I was eating. There was an opening in the container, and once I reached in I got something, they were dried crunchy strawberry slices! See Benjoy is a brand new range of "messy free" or anti-spill munchcups and they have an whole range of healthy snacks.

I have to admit, I'm pretty messy when I eat and my buggy is full of crumbs! I tried to dump the snacks out but it didn't work! Papi thinks its a very clever idea and now mami doesn't have to vacuum after me as often.

Try them! You can get some from Ocado and Morrisons.

Favourite snacks: Crunchy strawberry slices, crunchy grapes

See? The cover stops me from making a mess!

Penny and the Pirates

I love books, and I mean that literally. I love the taste of cardboard or paper. I have personally tasted each and every one of my books. Mami has had to put them away on a high shelf, but every once in a while I manage to get one. Now don't get me wrong, I like the stories too!

We were sent The Adventures of Penny the Postie: Penny and the Pirates to read and I am sorry to say I have not had a chance to taste it. The story however, is fun and exciting. It is about a girl named Penny who delivers letters and goes through all sorts of adventures after she finds a postbox. She almost got eaten by a crocodile!

We never make it through the whole book, but daddy reads it to me in parts. It is for older kids, but I'm a big boy too!

I have 3 to giveaway, so if you would like to follow Penny's adventures just leave me a comment telling us you want to win, your twitter name or email us with your contact details. You must follow blog via Google Connect or RSS.

Closes next Saturday 13th of November

Favourite part: Crossing the crocodile swamp

Sadly, I haven't had a chance to taste this book

Montagne Jeunesse Tottles

Remember mami and abuelita and their face masques? Well its back!

Montagne Jeunesse sent mami some Tottles. I know, strange name but cool concept. It is a mix between a tube and a bottle and they are a new range of luxurious spa facials.

Mami really likes these because they are less messy and you can get up to 10 masques out of them! I think she looks scary, but apparently it makes her face smoother. Hey, if she says it then I have to believe her.

There are four new "tastes": Damask Rose and Marula Oil, Dark Chocolate and Orange, Sensuous Spice Cinnamon and Ginger and Tropical Peel Off Masque with Red Grape and Mango

Even though they sound really yummy, mami says I can't eat them. Darn.

Mami has a set of 4 to giveaway to one lucky winner! Just leave a comment below saying you want to win, your twitter name or email us your contacts. You must follow this blog on Google Connect or RSS.

Closes next Saturday 13th of November

Mami's favourite tottle: Damask Rose

Its a shame I can't eat them, they smell sooo good!

That's it for the review and giveaway mashup! Hope you enjoyed it and maybe discovered something new. Let us know what you think of these.

Don't forget to enter to win!

The competition is now closed. Thank you to everyone for entering.

Say hello to my sister, Little L!
