A happy memory

Mami and papi's safari days

When mami sees this picture, she just lights up and says to papi "that was an amazing time, wasn't it?"

He looks over at her, smiles and then says "where has the time gone?"

See mami took this picture in 2006 when they were living in South Africa and seeing all sorts of wild animals.

They saw lions, elephants, rhinos and zebras of course!

So I have it on good authority that it was this is a happy memory for mami and papi because when they talk about that time they get all cuddly, mami starts to giggle and they even kiss...on the mouth! Ewww!

I even heard her whisper "can you believe we had only been married just over a year?" and then they hold hands.

I don't know about you, but that sounds like a super duper happy memory to me!

This is an entry for The Gallery. Visit to see more happy memories!

Chill out and stretch!

Everyone's got their own way of chilling out.

Papi likes to lay on the sofa and put his feet up while watching TV. Typical.

Mami likes to sit and "do nothing". No surprise there.

And me? Well, I'm just an all around chilled out kind of kid.

However, I do enjoy a good old fashioned stretching session. Usually while watching Handy Manny or Peppa Pig.

I just prop my leg up on the table and........STRETCH.

Ahhhhhh!

Yep, totally chillaxed (that's a cross between chilling and relaxed).

You really should try it. It's a good way to start your day!

Check out how everyone else chills out over at The Gallery.

A touch of colour

The Gallery theme this week is "Seasons"

I've noticed that the days have changed. I'm back to wearing a coat and boots. No more running around barefoot and wearing short sleeved shirts.

Mami and I don't go out to the park like we use to and it gets dark even before my bedtime.

At nursery we don't go for walks as much and sometimes we stay inside because it is raining.

The leaves on the trees are yellow and the park is full of piles of leaves that have fallen to the ground. I know, because I love to jump in them!

 Really pretty flower

Mami and daddy say they love this time of year because of the smells, the colours and the abundance. Papi always says it is harvest season or autumn.

Even with the leaves falling and the days getting darker and colder, we had a touch of colour in our front garden. A very red flower called a rose popped up.

I pulled off some petals too!

Isn't it beautiful?

What is your favourite season?

So funny!

The Gallery theme this week is "Show me funny". Well, mami and I have funny for you!

Mami likes to look at pictures from when she was little like me, especially one's with my tía Denise and tío Tomás (my aunt and uncle).

This picture is especially her favourite and it makes her laugh every time she looks at my tío's face.

My mami and her brother (my uncle!) Tomás

She says he still laughs the same way and they had lots of fun playing when they were little.

I love my tío Tomás. He has big muscles and can pick me up with one hand!

I can't wait to see him again.

Uh oh! Here come the girls

Uh oh is right.

I admit. Not my finest moment.

Being drenched in kisses, wrapped in hugs and picked up by mami AND abuelita (grandma) everyday, all day for three weeks this past summer when she came to visit was not my idea of fun.

Although I love them both very much, I couldn't take much more all the lovey dovey girly stuff.

Give a boy a break!

So I finally let them know how I really felt.

Arrgggg, girls. When will they learn?

The Gallery - Mami's Playtime

I'm baaaack!

It has been a very long time since I've done anything for The Gallery. But the theme this week was playtime and of course that is my specialty!

I thought about all the fun pictures I could post like the one of me making mud cakes.

Orrrrr the one of me painting all over the kitchen floor. And even the one of me building a tall tower with daddy.

But no. I decided to ask daddy to take a picture of mami during her playtime.
That is usually after I go to bed so I had to trust he would get a good picture.

Mami's playtime

I knew mami liked to play computer, but I thought for sure I'd see a picture of her colouring or playing with my lego blocks. I had no idea she considered this as her playtime.

But there you have it - mami's playtime (wonder what's she's doing, I do all the hard work!)

bye bye,

Say hello to my sister, Little L!

It's been a very long time. My days as a blogger are over (at least I think they are?) — I'm now mami's sort of photographer (I...
